Supporting First Responders
The Plains First Responder Grant Program funds the resource and training needs of nonprofit emergency response and public safety organizations in the communities where Plains operates. We supply funds for improvements that will have a lasting, measurable impact, and a direct benefit to the safety or preparedness of response organizations. The grant program is one way for Plains to further empower the men and women who risk their lives daily for their communities.
In 2017, Plains and its subsidiaries provided more than $1.2 million in grants to first responders in close proximity to our pipelines and facilities. Plains’ First Responder Grant Program giving guidelines and grant application form are available here.
Plains is headquartered in Houston, Texas. We believe that working to improve the overall quality of life in the Greater Houston area makes Plains a stronger company. We focus our philanthropic contributions on local nonprofit organizations and programs that align with our Values and goals. In 2018, we supported organizations including the United Way of Greater Houston, March of Dimes, BPMS150, Carl McCain Memorial Foundation and Star of Hope.
In addition to our corporate support of nonprofits in the Greater Houston area, we make local charitable contributions and participate in volunteer opportunities in the communities where we operate.
